Globalization is the spreading of culture, technology, and business through the nations of the world. I am highly supportive of the idea of globalization in the world today. There are many different ways which globalization is a positive influence. For one example, it allows people to instantaneously converse with one another from across the globe. With technology today, such as the internet, it is possible to have “chats” with people from all over the world at the same time. Because it is possible to talk to people immediately and in such a broad range, it is possible to talk about issues that affect everyone as a whole. The spreading of culture is a positive influence in the aspect; people get to experience things other than their everyday life. Let’s face it, in such a fast-paced world such as we live in now, the same routine day after day gets old quickly. To top everything off, there is the ever popular McDonald’s example of globalizing business. For the everyday traveler, having a McDonald’s in another country, it’s comforting to have a little touch of home. The idea of globalizing business, on a larger scale, makes it comfortable for those people who still want their culture and business in everyday life.
